These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Open Side (openside.tech), operated by Filip Bukovina ("Open Side", "we", "us"), for the Gradey app. By downloading, installing or using Gradey you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use Gradey.

Gradey (Apple bundle identifier com.bukovinafilip.BakalariMarks) is an unofficial client that helps students and parents view marks, absences, timetable, canteen and meals and related school information from systems such as Bakaláři, EduPage and Strava.cz. It runs on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, widgets and macOS under the same bundle identifier.
Gradey is published by Open Side / Filip Bukovina. It is not an official product of Bakaláři, EduPage, Strava.cz or of any school, and those organisations do not operate or endorse Gradey.
Gradey talks to school systems in an unofficial way. Those systems can change, rate-limit, break or block unofficial clients at any time, including by limiting or banning an account that uses unofficial access. We do not guarantee that Gradey will keep working with any school, module, API or feature.
Your school, or the vendor of Bakaláři, EduPage or Strava.cz, may treat unofficial access as a breach of their rules. You use Gradey in that respect at your own risk. We are not responsible if a school system blocks your account or changes in a way that stops Gradey from working.
Gradey is intended for students and parents in Czechia and the European Union. The App Store age rating is 12+. Gradey is not in the Kids Category.
You must be allowed to use Apple's App Store and to enter into these Terms. If you are a minor under the law of your country, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms and supervise your use where that is required.
Some features require a Gradey ID created with Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for the Apple ID you use and for activity on your Gradey account. Keep the Apple ID and the device under your control. You can export your Gradey data and delete the account in Settings.
You may link Bakaláři, EduPage and/or Strava.cz credentials. You must have the right to use those credentials. Do not use another person's account without permission.
For Bakaláři, Gradey uploads the school HTTPS URL, username and password to our backend so a cloud poller can sync marks, timetable and absences. Tokens may also be stored in the iOS Keychain (AfterFirstUnlockThisDeviceOnly). For EduPage, session identifiers, username, gsec hash and student profiles are sent to the backend. For Strava.cz, canteen and meal-ordering credentials are used for meal features. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
You must not scrape, overload, probe or otherwise abuse school systems, and you must not use Gradey to automate access beyond ordinary personal use of the app. If you do not want passwords uploaded to our backend, do not link a school account.
Marks, absences, timetable, meals and other school data are copied from the school system as that system returns them. They may lag, be incomplete or differ from what the official website or official app shows. The official school system remains the source of truth for grades, attendance and meals.
Gradey does not award marks, excuse absences or sell meals. We are not responsible for a grade, absence record, meal order or other decision of the school or canteen.
Gradey AI is optional and requires in-app privacy consent. If you use it, chat messages and relevant school context are sent to our backend, Firebase callable functions and an AI provider. You may refuse AI and still use marks, timetable and absences.
Daily AI limits depend on a support subscription and tier. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Do not treat it as official school information, as academic advice, or as a substitute for the school system.
The iPhone may send school authentication to Apple Watch, including username and password, so the Watch can refresh school data by itself. Widgets and the macOS app show school data available to Gradey. You are responsible for physical control of those devices, for a Watch passcode, and for unpairing a Watch you no longer use.
Viewing or ordering meals through Strava.cz or a school canteen module depends on that system. Orders, prices, cancellations, allergies and payment for food are governed by the canteen, Strava.cz and your school, not by a food-sale contract with Open Side.
You agree that you will not:
use Gradey unlawfully or to breach a school or vendor rule you are bound by;
attempt to disrupt Gradey, our backend or a school system;
scrape or bulk-export school systems beyond ordinary personal use of the app;
resell Gradey as if it were an official school client;
upload malware or unlawful content through support attachments; or
reverse engineer Gradey except to the extent mandatory law allows.
Gradey may offer optional support subscriptions and consumable tips. These are not a "Gradey Pro" unlock of core school features. Marks, timetable and absences work without a paid subscription.
Paid support tiers raise Gradey AI daily limits and related support perks. They do not make Gradey an official school app, do not guarantee compatibility with any school system, and do not replace a school licence.
Auto-renewable subscription product identifiers currently include:
support.standard.monthly — Standard support, monthly;
support.standard.yearly — Standard support, yearly;
support.plus.monthly — Plus support, monthly; and
support.plus.yearly — Plus support, yearly.
We may also offer existing consumable tip products. Tips are one-time purchases and do not auto-renew.
The title, length and price of each subscription are shown in the App Store purchase sheet at the time of purchase. We do not charge a price other than the price Apple displays for that product.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Apple processes the payment through StoreKit. We use RevenueCat to read whether a subscription or tip entitlement is active. We do not receive your card number.
A support subscription automatically renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the then-current rate shown in the App Store.
Manage or cancel in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, or use Manage Subscriptions in the Gradey app. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Restore Purchases is available in the app so you can restore a support subscription or an eligible tip entitlement bought with the same Apple ID on a device signed in with that Apple ID.
You may delete your Gradey account in Settings. After deletion we stop providing account-backed features and we delete personal data as described in the Privacy Policy, subject to legal exceptions. Deleting Gradey does not delete your account at Bakaláři, EduPage, Strava.cz or your school. Those accounts remain with those operators.
Gradey, its user interface, code, documentation and the Open Side name are owned by Open Side / Filip Bukovina or our licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Gradey on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and the App Store.
Bakaláři, EduPage, Strava.cz, Apple, App Store and related names and logos belong to their respective owners. Mentions in Gradey are for identification only. No licence or endorsement is implied.
Gradey is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that unofficial access to a school system will remain possible.
If you are a consumer, mandatory statutory warranties that cannot be excluded remain in force.
To the maximum extent permitted by the law of the Czech Republic and by EU consumer law, Open Side and Filip Bukovina are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost marks or school opportunities, a ban or rate-limit by a school system, a difference between Gradey and the official school system, or unavailability of unofficial access.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited: liability for intent, for injury to life, health or natural rights, or other liability that mandatory law keeps in place. If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep the mandatory rights of your country of residence.
The Privacy Policy at https://help.bukovinafilip.com/en/articles/10-privacy-policy (Czech: https://help.bukovinafilip.com/cs/articles/10-privacy-policy) explains how we process personal data, including that school usernames and passwords are uploaded to our backend for cloud sync.
We may change these Terms. The new effective date will be shown at the top and at the published URLs. If you continue to use Gradey after the new effective date, that is acceptance of the new Terms where the law allows. If you do not agree, stop using Gradey and delete your account.
These Terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic, excluding conflict-of-law rules that would refer to another law. Courts of the Czech Republic have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer venue rules. If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
